Terms of Service

By accessing CommunicationOS ("the Service"), operated by Transaction Science, Inc., you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

CommunicationOS provides B2B communications infrastructure across four surfaces: Engage (multi-channel API), Realtime (voice / video / SIP), Fabric (mesh / federation / transport), and Desktop (remote access). The Service routes the customer's communications and emits signed JWP receipts; it is not a content moderator and does not police message content beyond what the customer configures.

2. Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for the lawful use of every channel, for opt-in consent of every recipient (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL where applicable), for moderation policy on chat / social / support surfaces, and for security configuration of mesh / federation deployments. The customer holds carrier and registrar relationships unless explicitly contracted to Transaction Science.

3. Data Handling

All comms are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3, JWP). E2E encryption (MLS RFC 9420) is available for messaging surfaces; post-quantum ratchets ship in 2026 H2. Receipts are append-only and BLAKE3-hashed. Default content retention 30 days, receipt retention 7 years; both customer-configurable per surface.

4. Acceptable Use

The Service may not be used for unsolicited bulk messaging (spam), illegal robocalling, surveillance of unauthorized parties, or to circumvent another party's network access controls (mesh / VPN / remote desktop). Transaction Science may suspend a tenant whose traffic is materially harming third parties.

5. Compliance

CommunicationOS is designed to support SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, FedRAMP-ready, EU DORA, and FINRA WORM-compliant deployments. Enabling any specific framework requires the customer to configure their deployment accordingly. We do not provide legal opinions on compliance status.

6. Data Residency

Customer data is stored according to the region selected at tenant creation. No cross-region replication without explicit configuration. Sovereign / air-gapped deployments are available under separate licensing.

7. Limitation of Liability

CommunicationOS is provided "as is." Aggregate liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, nor for content the customer transmits over the Service.
